DESCRIPTION OF PERMIT: Special uses are uses that are not permitted by right in a particular zoning district but may be authorized following a public hearing provided that they comply with the standards established in the City code. Special uses are specifically listed as such in each zoning district. Uses not specifically listed as special uses cannot be permitted. An SUP is not transferable from one property to another, nor shall it be considered as establishing a binding precedent to grant other SUPs in similar locations or circumstances.
